Girls under the age of 20 studying in schools, vocational schools, lyceums, and colleges can participate in the “ICT4Girls” Uzbek Olympiad in sports programming.
The Olympiad is organized in two stages:
First stage – regional stage: the first 5 participants from each of the 14 regions who answered at least 2 questions correctly from each of the 14 regions will pass to the Republican stage. The first stage of the Olympiad will be held in the first 10 days of June (the exact date and location will be announced in the ICT4Girls Telegram group after the registration process is completed).
Second stage – Republican stage: The first 12 participants with high scores will be recognized as winners of the ICT4Girls Olympiad and will be duly awarded. The second stage of the Olympiad will be held on the second 10 days of June (the exact date and location will be announced in the ICT4Girls Telegram group after the first stage is over).
Bonus: This year, a special sports programming bootcamp will be organized for the winners of the ICT4Girls Olympiad, and the four selected girls at the end of the bootcamp will go to the European Girls in Computer Science in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, on July 21–27, in the Olympiad (EGOI) as part of the national team of Uzbekistan.
Olympiad questions are given in English and Uzbek languages. During the competition, the participants will have to complete a set of 4 questions. Assignments are made by writing code in C++ or Python programming languages. A total of 5 hours will be given to complete the tasks for each stage.
The “ICT4Girls” Olympiad for schoolgirls in sports programming in Uzbekistan is organized by the Center for the Development of Digital Education under the Ministry of Digital Technologies in cooperation with the Ministry of Pre-school and School Education, Amity University, and Uzum.
