In which directions can Technopark residents work?

Familiarize yourself with the types of activities allowed to be carried out by the residents of the technological park of software products and information technologies:

  • Development, design, and sale of software, including computer games, for any platform (including licensing of software and granting or presenting exclusive rights to software), Implementation, support, and service of individual steps in the implementation of software, including training services for working with this software (training).

  • Providing services to non-residents of the Republic of Uzbekistan in auxiliary production, administrative, and business process management (implementation) using software and hardware tools (business process outsourcing).
  • Sale of materials, technologies, micro-, opto-, and nanoelectronics, micro-electrotechnical systems, and software compatible with them, developed by a resident of Technopark.
  • Development (research, design (construction), testing, and technical testing) of data transmission systems, technologies, devices, and radar systems; radio navigation; radio communication; radio control; radio frequency identification equipment; and production of the results of such developments or selling services without actually providing those services.
  • Individual stages (research, design, prototyping, testing) of the development or production of high-tech devices and systems, hardware and software tools and software compatible with them transfer, and the sale of manufactured products and (or) the provision of services for the acquisition of production results or sale without provision of services.
  • Information protection activities using technical and/or cryptographic means, including electronic digital signatures.
  • Activities related to the development, implementation, and sale of the concept of a computer-communication network of physical objects equipped with installed technologies to communicate with each other and with the external environment.
  • In accordance with the program approved by the Technopark Directorate, educational activities in the field of information technologies, including through the Internet global information network.
  • Export of information services through the Internet global information network.
  • Services in the field of multimedia and design (web design, graphic design, computer game design, vector graphics, 3D graphics, visualization design, interface design, technical design, motion design).
  • Production of multiplication products using software.
  • Activities of venture financing of projects in the field of information technologies and implementation of acceleration programs.
  • Providing services in the field of e-sports.

What rights do residents have?

Residents of the IT Park have a number of privileges and rights, the most important of which are the following:

  • Use of tax credits on income;
  • Use of the Technopark trademark under the condition of using the “IT Park Resident” symbol;
  • Attracting foreign specialists without obtaining certificates of the right to work in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
  • Reducing the amount of monthly allocations to the Directorate up to 50 percent when the volume of exported goods or services exceeds a certain amount in the current reporting calendar year.

What are the responsibilities of IT Park residents?

Companies that are IT Park residents are expected to comply with a number of simple requirements. Get to know the most important of them:

  • Working according to the list of approved activities.
  • Submitting a report on its activities once every quarter.
  • Every month, no later than the 20th day of the month following the reporting period, make a payment in the amount of one percent of the total income to the demand deposit account of the Directorate.
  • Conducting an audit once a year and sending a copy of the conclusion to the IT Park.

If companies are found not to follow these rules, they will be deprived of IT Park residency status.

What rights and obligations does IT Park have?

Some of the main rights of the directorate are:

  • Obtaining information from the resident about his activities, including copies of statistics and tax reports;
  • Organization of promotion of new products of the resident in domestic and foreign markets;
  • Receiving residents’ tax reports from tax authorities;
  • Provision of additional services to the resident on the basis of separately concluded agreements within the scope of his authority;

Some of the key responsibilities of the Directorate are:

  • Issuance of a certificate of registration as a resident of the technopark to the residents;
  • Sending an official notification to the State Tax Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the State Customs Committee, to the commercial bank that provides services to the legal entity, that the legal entity is registered as a resident of the Technopark.
