The article explains the procedure for covering up to 100% of the expenses of young people for international IT certificates.
You must have heard about the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 95 dated February 17, 2024, “On additional measures to encourage young professionals with international IT certificates.” If you have international IT certificates and additionally a B2 language certificate, you can get up to 100% of the cost of the certificate back. This article explains the description of this decision, who it belongs to, and the procedure for reimbursement of costs.
Whose international IT certificate costs are covered?
We will determine the age limit before starting work. According to the decision, citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan between the ages of 14 and 30 can submit an application to cover the cost of IT certificates. If the applicant is under 16 years of age, the information of the parent/guardian must be indicated in the application.
Which certificates are eligible for compensation?
If you are within this age range, you can now choose the type of certificate and start studying. The decision envisages covering certificates obtained in 205 types of courses by more than 20 leading companies, such as Google, Cisco, Oracle, SAP, and Coursera. Courses are in nine different areas, such as network administration, programming, design, and artificial intelligence. If you have an entry-level international IT certificate, 30% of the costs will be covered, 40% for an intermediate-level certificate, and 60% if you have a professional-level certificate.
What is required to apply?
You have studied and successfully completed one of the listed courses and received a certificate. What about now? Now you need to send an application for compensation to the unified portal of interactive public services through this link. Remember, the application must be submitted within 180 calendar days of receiving the IT certificate; otherwise, the cost will not be reimbursed.
To apply, you should have followings:
- a copy of the international IT certificate;
- If you are filling out a questionnaire to cover the cost of a training course to obtain an IT certificate, a copy of the document confirming that you have attended and completed this training course;
- a copy of the payment receipt confirming your expenses for obtaining an IT certificate;
- in order to direct the amount that needs to be reimbursed, the bank plastic card information in the national currency is required in an active state.
In addition, if you have an international language certificate with English level B2 and above, you can also upload it and get up to 100% compensation for your IT certificate. According to the decision, IT-certificate costs are covered only if there are four international language certificates: IELTS, TOEFL iBT, TOEFL iTP, and Cambridge Assessment English.

How many days will be compensated?
After entering all requested personal and certificate-related information in the application form, your request will be sent to the working body and reviewed. The term of service is 28 working days. Let’s look at some special cases:
— If everything is in order, your documents will be reviewed within 7 working days.
— If there are errors and omissions that can be corrected in the questionnaire and the documents attached to it, you will be given a period of 5 working days to correct them.
— If it is not possible to determine the validity of the international IT certificate and the certificate specifying the level of English language proficiency through verification, the working body will send a request to the organization that issued the international IT certificate and/or language certificate to determine the validity of this certificate. In this case, the process is extended to 30 calendar days.
